1911 WINCHESTER 1892 Lever Action .25-20 WCF Rifle
Very Nice Rifle with a Lot of Blue!
Description: 1911 WINCHESTER 1892 Lever Action .25-20 WCF Rifle Very Nice Rifle with a Lot of Blue! Here we present a Winchester Model 1892 Lever Action Rifle chambered in .25-20 WCF, made in 1911 in New Haven, Connecticut. Another fantastic design from the mind of John Moses Browning, the 1892 was made to replace the venerable and iconic 1873 and featured its pistol caliber chamberings. The result was a trim and light rifle that was an immediate hit and stayed in production from1892 through 1938 and produced upwards to 1,000,000 rifles. The Model 1892 was first chambered in .44-40 cartridges, and in 1895 the 25-20 emerged. Many gun owners favored Winchester rifles for their ability to fire the same ammunition as their pistols, meaning that a cowboy, trapper or stagecoach defender could take along his trust rifle and pistol sidearm with only one supply of ammo! The Model 1892, like many other Winchester rifles, made a name for themselves in many notable Hollywood productions. She served as the firearm of choice to “The Rifleman” with actor Chuck Connors and was held in high regard by characters as portrayed by western star John Wayne. Winchester actually developed a 100th Anniversary John Wayne Commemorative Model 1892 Carbine as a collectible piece to the public. The overall condition is near fine. 70% of the blue finish remains. The markings are clear. The walnut stock shows handling marks yet remains smooth and solid. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. The action is excellent. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 24-1/4 inches. Caliber: .25-20 Winchester Center Fire Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING.
