ANTIQUE MODEL 1892 TAKE DOWN
Description:
This Winchester is a cal 38WCF round bbl take down. It has a full length mag tube and crescent buttplate. An early gun in the 16k serial range. Metal is relatively good. Bbl has some scattered light pin pricking as does the mag tube. Most finish remaining. It has an aged blue look. The receiver is pretty much a grey/brown patina with some light pin pricking. Poor storage or maybe wrapped in a blanket?? Surprisingly there is some pretty good case colors on the hammer and a couple light case colors on the lever. Buttstock is in good cond with slightly extra figure wood grain. Fits well. All 4 corners are good. Forearm is also in VG cond for a gun this old. It does have a shiny bore with good riflings. There is light to moderate pitting in a couple of spots. Some slight roughness. The bore would be considered at least good, possibly in th VG range. Action is nice. Good looking old Winchester!
