Seller's Inventory #: W11507
This very nice 38-55 caliber Model 1894 SRC is circa 1901. The 20"" round barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. It is equipped with the standard carbine sights. The gun has approx. 90% blue overall with areas turning brown. The lever and hammer are mostly silver with traces of case colors . The left side of the reciever is hand stamped DOC. over & over CO. with the right side and bottom stamped DOC. We don't know the meaning of this but it may be a mining company or other type of company. The butt stock is fine with most of its original varnish and light wear and with no cracks or chips. The forearm is very good with most of its finish, a few usage dents and dings, and an old stable stress crack on the bottom from the front to the band. The saddle ring is present. The action functions correctly. This much better than average 38-55 Model 1894 SRC is ready for your Winchester or western collection.
