1926 mfg. WINCHESTER M94 .30 WCF Lever Action SR Carbine C&R DEER HUNTER
ICONIC Hunting/Sporting Rifle in .30-30 Caliber
Description: 1926 mfg. WINCHESTER M94 .30 WCF Lever Action SR Carbine C&R DEER HUNTER ICONIC Hunting/Sporting Rifle in .30-30 Caliber Here we present a C&R Winchester Model 94 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine, made in 1926 in New Haven, Connecticut. The credit for creating such a legendary firearm goes to John Moses Browning, whose incredible talent for design helped produce a wide range of influential weapons throughout his career. The Model 1894 was a groundbreaking rifle for Winchester, as it was the first designed specifically for use with the new smokeless powder. It was originally made as a hunting rifle, but soon turned into the iconic cowboy gun, and over 7.5 million were built between 1894 and the mid 2000s. While it could chamber various cartridges, the .30-30 Winchester became its most popular and enduring choice. In everyday use, the Model 1894 quickly became a favorite among hunters and shooters alike. In April 1919, Winchester eliminated the “18” and “19” from the model names of all of the various models that were in active production. So, after this date, the Model 1894 would have been the Model 94. The overall condition is nearing fine. Original barrel finish with a gray patina on the receiver. Crisp action.
