A good looking rifle with all the right stuff. Oct bbl, full length mag and crescent butt plate. Serial number just under 100k puts it as being built in 1897. Cal 38-55. Pretty nice blue remains on this old Winchester with blue at about 80%. Most finish on the bbl turning a blue/ brown with good markings. Some case colors remain on lever and hammer. Wood is exceptional. Nice fitting on both stock and forearm. Bore is somewhat bright with good rifling. Some scattered pitting and some roughness which is typical for a 38-55. A good cleaning may improve the cond. Very eye appealing rifle.
