c1907 mfr. WINCHESTER Model 1894 .25-35 WCF LEVER ACTION Rifle C&R Octagonal Barrel, Crescent Butt Plate
Description: c1907 mfr. WINCHESTER Model 1894 .25-35 WCF LEVER ACTION Rifle C&R Octagonal Barrel, Crescent Butt Plate Here we present a C&R Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Rifle, made in 1907 in New Haven, Connecticut. The credit for the design of such a prolific firearm again lies with John Moses Browning, who lent his extensive design talents to a large number of weapon types throughout his career. The Model 1894 was the first Winchester rifle made for use with the new technology of smokeless powder and was developed as a hunting rifle. Over 7.5 million were produced from 1894 until 2006. While various cartridges were supported throughout the run of the gun, the .30-30 Winchester became its staple. In practical use, the Model 1894 became a favorite for general shooters and hunters alike. To this day, it remains a deer hunting favorite, and, in all likelihood, more deer have been taken with the 1894 than any other. The .25-35 was, and still is, a fairly short-range, medium range game cartridge. This Model 1894 rifle features a 26-inch octagon barrel chambered in scarce .25-35 Winchester Center Fire. The .25-35 was valued for its speed, trajectory, and lower recoil. It was a popular round in the Winchester Model 1885 High Wall single-shot rifle. In the U.S. Winchester stopped general production of .25-35 rifles in 1955, but keeps producing ammunition. The overall condition is very good. Original blue finish on the barrel and magazine tube with some traces on the receiver. Replacement front sight. Excellent action. The bore is in good condition with strong rifling. The walnut stock shows honest use and remains solid throughout. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 26 inches. Caliber: .25-35 WCF Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R Licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $2350 #240325 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
