Excellent Winchester Model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine 1915
Description: Serial #808410, .30-30 W.C.F., 20 inch barrel with an excellent bore. This is the Winchester Model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine built in 1915. In excellent overall condition the barrel and magazine tube retain virtually all, 97-99% of the original blue finish as do the barrel bands with the butt plate having perhaps 90-95%. The receiver ranges from pewter gray to brown with perhaps 10-15% original blue in protected areas along the tang and edges. The gum wood stock and forearm have been lightly sanded and have a smooth finish showing some very shallow marks and contusions. It is sighted with the original flip up carbine sight which is excellent and has the original saddle ring which is partially covered in black cloth tape for quiet carrying. An excellent overall Model 94 SRC with the finish loss on the receiver so typical of this era Winchester rifles. This gun was not used a very much! FFL or C&R SOLD |
