Extremely rare 1894 Winchester Extra Lightweight, Plain Wood Pistol Grip Stock, Shotgun Buttplate, Short Rifle and documented 1 of 9 known rifles with the August 14th error dated barrel. Manufactured in 1906. 22” barrel and 4 cartridge magazine tube retain 65 to 70% original blue with the remainder a gray / brown patina. Fair bore maybe 6.5 to 7 on a scale from 1 to 10. I do believe it will clean up better with some elbow grease. Receiver retains 50 to 55% original blue. Both forend and buttstock are in good condition showing normal handling marks. Left side of forend has tiny crack near forend cap (see pic). Hard rubber buttplate is in very good condition. This is a documented 1 of 9 1894 Winchester Rifle thatcis extremely rare and highly desirable by itself, then throw in the fact that it is factory documented Extra Lightweight Short Rifle with Special features.
