Description:
Scarce Winchester Model 1894 with 26" octagon barrel, special order double triggers, Lyman Long Range rear sight, and checkered stocks. Chambered in 30 W.C.F. Standard two-line address with separate, two-line nickel steel/smokeless powder reference. Three-line model/trademark marking on the upper tang and serial number on the bottom of the receiver. The left side of the lower tang is marked "12844" followed by "AE" letters as imaged. Fitted with a Lyman beaded blade front, a pieced-in dovetail to replace usual rear sight, and Lyman Long Range rear sight mounted to left side of receiver. Finely figured, checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with a crescent buttplate.
Condition:
VG as carefully refurbished with flat planes, sharp edges, and crisp original markings, now with handling wear in usual places to include muzzle, forend cap, bottom of receiver/left side of rear sight and a grey lever and buttplate. Comparable condition forend and buttstock with no discernible cracks or splits. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Correct manual mechanics to include function of double triggers.
