Description:
This Winchester Model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine—built in 1913 and chambered in .30 WCF—offers the honest character so many lever?gun enthusiasts seek. Its 20-inch barrel retains about 80% of its original bluing, with overall metal rating around 40% and the receiver showing a well-earned silvered patina with scattered freckles. The wood remains original and unrefinished, showing the dark, seasoned look and handling marks expected of a carbine that’s spent more than a century in the deer woods.
A frosted but sharply rifled bore promises continued shootability, and the action cycles smoothly with proper mechanical function. The carbine retains its original ladder rear sight (missing the slide stop screw) and wears a vintage Marbles 94C front sight with added red pigment. The saddle ring is missing, though the stud remains, and a past owner added peep sight mounting holes to the receiver’s left side.
A classic 94 with history in its steel and plenty of trail left ahead. Ideal for those who appreciate the nostalgia of a true working Winchester.
