Winchester Model 1894 Take Down in .30 WCF
Description: Winchester Model 1894 Take Down in .30 WCF. Features a 26" octagon barrel with a full length magazine tube and iron sights. However, the top portion of the front sight is broken off. The rear sight is a simi-buckhorn with elevator and it's in very good condition. The forend and butt-stock is of American walnut, and the butt sports a crescent metal butt-plate. Length of pull is 13 1/2" and the rifle weighs an even 8 Lbs. A manufacture date of 1915 with S# 760748. Condition: The receiver, lever, top and bottom tang, forend metal and butt-plate are in full patina. The barrel, magazine tube and rear sight are in too good of condition to be original to the rifle. All three have very good blue finish (which appear to be Winchester blued metal finish), but there is some faint rust freckling showing in the surface of the metal. Also, the top tang's screws are not correct. The front screw is oversized with a thick head and the rear is undersized. The butt-stock and forend has many scratches and dings, and the forend has a full-length crack on the left side and the finish is quite worn, where as the butt-stock has considerable more gloss finish, howbeit it is probably not factory original. The bore's rifling, lands and grooves, are in very good condition with lots of shine throughout. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Manufacturer: 1915 - S# 760748 Caliber Info: .30 W.C.F. (.30-30 Winchester) Metal Condition: The receiver has patina but the barrel has very good blue. See "Description" for additional information. Wood Condition: There are many scratches and dings in the wood and the forend has a full-lenth crack. See "Description" for additional information. Bore Condition: Very good bore. See "Description" for additional information. Barrels: 26" octagon barrel with a full length magazine tube. Stock: Walnut. Stock Dimensions: 13 1/2" Length of pull. Butt Pad: Crescent metal butt-plate. Weight: 8 Lbs. Sights: Iron sights. Front blade's top portion is broken off. Simi-buckhorn rear sight. Item Location: Boise, ID |
