Serial Number: 2518812
Americas favorite deer rifle. The perfect hunting gun either on foot or from the saddle, lightweight, nimble, and fast to action the 94′ is simple, safe and reliable. The Model 94 is the rifle most associated with the Winchester name, it has sold over 7,000,000 units and is often referred to as the “ultimate lever-action”. Manufactured in1962 this carbine is serial number 2518812. The 20” barrel has a perfect 10/10 bore with crisp rifling, and 99% factory bluing on both barrel and magazine. The receiver and lever retain 99% original bluing and perfect screws. There is just the slightest hint of silvering on the balance point which makes this rifle exceptional as most 94’s are very worn at the lower edges, not this one, it’s one of the nicest factory original Winchester Model 94 that we’ve seen in a while! The gun has a few handling marks, but a righteous amount for a handy gun that has been carried but cared for. The stock features nice figure and 98% original Winchester factory varnish, there are a few light handling marks. Pre 64 Winchester 94’s are getting harder to find in such overall high condition! This example was built in the last years before Winchester altered their building methods to more of an ‘accountancy’ lead system. Consequently pre-64 Winchesters are much sought after in the market and genuine honest guns such as this 94 show how ’they used to be’.
