Americas favorite deer rifle. The perfect hunting gun either on foot or from the saddle, lightweight, nimble, and fast to action the 94′ is simple, safe and reliable. The Model 94 is the rifle most associated with the Winchester name, it has sold over 7,000,000 units and is often referred to as the “ultimate lever-action”. This Winchester carbine serial number 1536802 was built in 1948. It has the desirable long wood forend and flat barrel band- 1948 being the last year it was commonly used. The 20″ barrel has a perfect 10 out of 10 bore and rifling, and retains its sight hood, the barrel and magazine retain 99% factory original finishes. The receiver has 99% original factory bluing with a few handling marks and excellent screws. The lever shows 99% blue with a hint of edge silvering. The furniture has good strong grain. This rifle is chambered for Winchester’s .32WS cartridge. A more powerful round when compared to the ubiquitous 30-30. According to Winchester’s original claims, the .32 WS has 5-10% more energy than the .30-30 at close ranges, an ideal bullet for close woodland hunts. A nicer example of an early post-war Winchester Model 94 would be hard to find! It’s got all the right attributes, so don’t hesitate of it will be gone! Thanks for looking.
