About Us: I have collected interesting firearms for about 60 years, and am a Benefactor/Life NRA member. I feel that it is now time to start selling a few things. Winchester Model 94 Pre-64 Flat Band Carbine in 25-35 WCF
Description: Nice Pre-64 Winchester Model 94 Flat Band carbine in 25-35 WCF chambering. According to my research, this one was probably made in 1947. Starting in 1948 the beginning serial number was 1,500,000 and this one is just before that. Records are rather skechy during and shortly after WWII. The first ones made after the war used a flat band to secure the magazine tube just behind the muzzle. Some collectors find this particular variation desireable and actually collect "Flat Bands". Most of these were chambered in 30 WCF (30-30 Winchester) but this one is in the harder to find 25-35 WCF. This one is in great shape and shows wear on the sharp edges and from being slid into a scabbard. The bore looks perfect and I doubt that this one has been shot very much. This one was originally purchased in Ely, Nevada, and several years ago I bought it from the original owners son, a neighbor of mine. I have test fired it with some recently manufactured ammo and it performed flawlessly. Please check out the pictures carefully, I have tried to show accurately the wear on certain areas. Overall, it looks very good. It has the original sights and the original checkered steel buttplate. It would be easy to re-blue a couple of small parts and upgrade this one, but I like to leave them the way that they are. You, of course, can make that decision for yourself.
