Winchester Pre 64 Model 94 30 30 Unique 1953 Very Nice Cond

Waaaay  before Winchester brillianlty redesigned these wonderful little lever guns to be (AE) angle eject such that a scope could be mounted over the breech ...this clever offering from Redfield  made it possible for the old boys who's eyes were not quite what they used to be to continure to use their 94's...and became a Scout (type) scope decades before that terms was ever used) with Redfields # 294 mount and the little 3/4" tube 2x scope it became ussable for folks who required a scope. These were US (Colorado I belive) made quality glass, seal still perfect and scope picture free of gunk, clear and bright. Pics were taken in between the rain we are finally getting BEFORE we cleaned up the gun...it is actually in nice shape for its age with small amounts of modest loss of blue and a little loss of finnish on the forend. Bore seems perfect. Most will not have seen one set up like this ....a nice additon for any who prefer the old quality. Side bar: we have a friend who comes from what i call Winchester Royalty....(family worked at Win and Rem).He has said that the quality of the post war guns was greater than earlier with improved metalugy from the war and guessing many who worked at Winchesete at the time we returning Vets who may have had a better work ething than some others. There is presenlty an idential scope / and mount on Ebay being offered at $ 275.00. Ours is included with the price of this unique 94 at no additonal cost
