Description:
The 1895 was a John Browning design to allow the use of spitzer bullets, in powerful cartridges, to be used in the lever action rifles, popular and familiar to folks at the time of introduction. It utilized a fixed box magazine to allow vertical stacking of the cartridges and prevent primers from touching bullet tips. This one was manufactured in 1984, after the patents had run out for Winchester. It is virtually a Winchester 1895, with Browning stamps. Nice rifle with just enough wear to be used as a shooter, and not just a collector piece. .30-06 Springfield
