INTERESTING WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 RIFLE IN 35 WCF

Description:
24 inch round barrel chambered in 35 WCF caliber with an excellent bore. This gun was ordered with a 15 inch LOP and features a heavy oversized shotgun style buttstock with some heavy course checkering along the butt. Very few handling mars The in-letting on the inside of the stock tells me that it was done by Winchester. I have not seen anything like this before. English style proofs on the barrel as well as a tall Lyman front sight and a sporting rear sight with a wide V notch. Barrel retains a good amount of blue starting to turn dark. The receiver has about 75% blue remaining. Gun has been used very little with a nice tight action. Also features a previous owners name D.C. MACMICHAEL on the bottom of the lever. Some further research may prove interesting. He must have been a big man. An interesting addition to a Winchester Model 1895 collection or a good hunting rifle for a big man.
