Description:
Teddy Roosevelt called his 1895 his "lion medicine" when hunting in Africa, and had his Rough Riders carrying them on horseback. With the vertical box magazines, these were lever guns were able to safely carry spitzer bullets allowing the rifles to be chambered in many "high performance" cartridges. This one is like new in the box. It has been handled a bit, and it may have been fired, but it has only a few minor handling marks. It has a tang safety, straight grip, and nice wood. The rear sight has been replaced with a ghost ring. We can't help but believe Teddy would have approved... "Bully!" .405 Winchester
