Description:
This gun, serial # 81xxx, was sold in 1915, soon after Teddy Roosevelt's 1909-1910 walking safari trip to Africa. It is a take-down rifle with a 28 inch barrel and straight grip. It has a Lyman receiver peep sight, an express open sight and factory installed sling rings. It has a 13 1/4 inch length of pull over a "NOSHOC" solid recoil pad. The gun has been well used, but is still mechanically sound and retains approximately 70 to 80% original blue finish. The bore is still good and bright, and there is an extra barrel in .35 W.C.F. caliber that has been drilled and tapped for Unertl bases. This is a nice early '95 in the most desirable caliber.
