About Us: I have collected interesting firearms for over 50 years. Now I feel that it is time to start selling a few things. Winchester Model 52C * Heavy Barrel * 22 Long Rifle * Made in 1956 * Excellent Original Condition
Description: Beautiful Winchester Model 52C Heavy Barrel Target Rifle in 22 Long Rifle. This rifle has been only lightly used showing almost no wear on the bluing even on the bolt handle. It is the model 52C model with the best trigger that Winchester ever made, the Micro-Motion trigger. It is externally adjustable for weight of pull and for overtravel. When you pull the trigger, you hear it click, but you feel almost no movement under your finger. This one has no sights but is equipped with Unertl style bases that will accomodate standard mounts as well as Posa-Mounts. The stock has only minor surface blemishes and has not been altered in any way. The metal is nearly perfect. The bore is bright and shiney with strong riflings. I put a 15 power Unertl on this one and shot some ELEY 10X and had no trouble shooting 1/4" groups at 50 yards. All Winchester 52s are great, but the 52C is the king in my opinion. I have owned this one since 1998 and would have shot it more but I have a 52C with a standard barrel that shoots just as well and is not as heavy. The barrel on this one is 28" long and measures just over an inch in diameter just forward of the receiver and measures 9/10" at the muzzle. Original condition 52Cs are getting scarce. Many have had alterations done that have destroyed the collector value. Check out the pictures and thank you for looking. Buyer pays Insurance and Shipping costs.
