Winchester Model 53 Lever Action .25-20 WCF Take-down Rifle
The Model 53 was introduced in 1924 and manufactured through 1932 with approximately 25,000 produced during the 8-year production run.  The Model 53 was a modern version of the 1892 Winchester.  The Model 53 was chambered in .44-40 (rare), .32-20, and .25-20 calibers.  Offered is a 1926 production .25-20 with a 22 inch round barrel, smooth forearm, straight grip stock, take-down (rare) with half magazine (offered only on the take-down model).  Bore is bright and shiny with excellent rifling.  Rifle has orginal bluing and wood, no refinishing of any kind, a little flaking on the receiver.  Metal to wood is excellent, rifle looks like a closet queen.  Great looking rifle for being 100 years old!
