Description:
24 inch round barrel showing standard Winchester Proof Steel barrel markings with caliber marking "25-20 W.C.F.” 25-20 WCF was available by special order only. Original sights include Lyman No. 31-W with hood on ramped barrel front with Winchester No. 22-G sporting rear. Bolt is numbered to match the rifle. The checkered walnut N.R.A. type pistol grip stock with Special Order 13 inch Length Of Pull is numbered to match rifle under the checkered steel buttplate and fit with sling eyes. Very good condition overall with clean smooth metal surfaces showing about 80% finish with a little very faint freckling on the barrel. Excellent bore is bright and shiny with decent rifling. The stock is solid showing light wear and handling marks. Manufactured in 1934. Comes with book “Winchester Model 54 Bolt Action Rifle 1925-1936” by David P. Bichrest where this gun is listed by serial number on page 133.
