Description: Ultra rare forerunner to the great Winchester Model 70, here's a fantastic Winchester Model 54 Super Grade in 30-06. S/N 48***A with matching scribed bolt made in 1936. Incredible condition at 97% original Blue and Varnish. 24" barrel. All correct Super Grade components and true Pre War concave shouldered SG swivels. Undrilled rear receiver bridge. Bore and mechanics are excellent. Factory installed long slide Lyman 48 WJS with matching component #s. With only about 50,000 made in every caliber and configuration, the 54 is more than 10 times rarer than the Pre 64 70, and only a handful were ever made into Super Grades.
