WINCHESTER MODEL 55 TAKEDOWN RIFLE IN 30 WCF

Description:
24 inch lightweight rapid taper round barrel chambered in 30 WCF caliber with an excellent bright shiny bore. Half length mag tube holding 3 cartridges and a takedown frame. Shotgun butt with serrated steel buttplate. Sights include Lyman blade front sight and an adjustable flattop sporting rear. Barrel and mag tube have a most all original blue remaining. Receiver also has a good amount of blue remaining with some light scratches and wear at the carry point. Overall wood in good condition with typical handling mars. Crisp tight action. This rifle was made in 1927 and should make for a good shooter. The Model 55 was discontinued in 1942 because it could not compete with the Model 1894.
