We have had a number of these fine Winchster 62's over the years but not seen one like this with what appeaers to be a factory roll mark on the left side of the receiver saying Winchester Trade Mark (see pics)
No wear loss of finish to stock or blue however there is some freckling on some of the blued surfaces, tiny sliver of wood chip missing right and left side of pistol grip where it meets the receiver (minor). There are no non factory holes however it is possible thst the gun has been reblued. The ser # on the tang is a lower number than the 380XXX on which we indicate the date of manufacture; as the 380XXX would make it near the end of production it is possible this is a parts clean up gun. Winchester collectors will be familiar with this term meaning the parts that remained were used to put together the remaining guns produced. Other than this we have no explanation.
