Winchester 64 .30 WCF caliber rifle. Manufactured in 1933. Excellent bore. Action works perfectly. Barrel and magazine tube have 98% blue. The receiver has lost all but traces of the blue. This is common on Winchester model 64’s and 94’s. As the metallurgy of the receiver did not make the blue hold and instead it “flaked” (no one has ever seen a “flake” of blue but this is common terminology of this of this phenomenon). The result is ether a mottled appearance or no blue, as in this example. The barrel has both front and rear factory sights and the tang has a very nice Lyman Tang sight. The stock shows some nicks and wear from hunting. Action works perfectly. Nice model ’64 made in 1933. First year of production for this model!
