The metal on this 70 yr old model 64 is exceptional with only a little edge wear and by any reasonable standard a good bit higher than 90%. The wood appears to have been cleaned up...and is free of any handling marks or other..so assume the stock has been refinished as has the correct steel Winchester butt plate... The screws are sharp and not buggered and sights are still lin place (no hood). A lttle crud on the lever from persperation in a mans hand while carrying this fine looking 65.
Here is the intersting thing: we have a friend who's grandmother worked at Winchester during this period she said that the quality of this generation of Winchester is actually higher than the sought after pre war guns. The bore is also perfect. We think that 64's are among the handsomest of all Winchesters.
