Winchester Model 65 .218 Bee with Bolt Peep Sight

Description:
This example is 1 of about 5,700 that were manufactured between 1933 and 1947. It has a hooded front sight on a stippled ramp, an elevation adjustable rear sight and a bolt mounted peep sight. Mounted on a smooth walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate. Very desirable .218 Bee caliber. 24" round barrel retains over 90% of it's original blue. Very nice bore, I will rate it an 8 on a scale from 1 to 10. Rifle retains very nice markings and action functions nicely. Receiver retains 70 to 75% of it's original blue with the remainder a nice even brown / gray patina. Receiver has "NO EXTRA HOLES" like you see so many that were drilled and tapped for scope. Both forend and buttstock are in good condition. There is what looks like a burn mark on bottom of forend and two tiny holes that were filled in on the pistol grip (see pictures). Correct buttplate. All in all a great rifle at a great price. Must ship to a FFL or Curio and Relics license holder. This firearm as with any other should be checked first by a gunsmith before any attempt is made to fire / operate it. Please feel free to ask questions.
