Winchester ~ Model 70 (1952) ~ .257 Weatherby Magnum
Description:
SERIAL NUMBER: 217318. BARREL: 24". CALIBER: .257 Weatherby mag. MANUFACTURED: 1952. This rifle features a bolt action with Mauser type claw extractor, 5 round internal magazine, checkered walnut stock, hooded front sight, flip up u-notch rear sight, drilled and tapped for a rail mount and waffle rubber recoil pad. CONDITION: Very Good. This rifle was re-chambered into 257 Weatherby mag at some point. The barrel has the original 257 Roberts factory stamp. But is re-stamped at the chamber 257 Weatherby mag. The metal retails original finish, some bluing fade near muzzle. The wood stock shows some finish wear. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. The receiver has a little frosting and appears to have had a rail installed and subsequently removed. .257 Weatherby Magnum
