Description: ***SOLD*** Extremely rare Model 70 standard rifle with a special order stainless steel barrel in near mint condition! This barrel is similar to most all 220 Swifts and the earliest 264 Win. Mags with its iron oxide/dulite blue treatment over the stainless steel, but I have only seen or heard of a handful of them ever being special ordered in other calibers, those few being in the 270 like this one, and the 300 H&H. Unconfirmed rumor has it that they were special ordered by some oil and gas exploration company headed to South America, and often fall in this 366*** S/N range made in 1956. The bolt has a matching scribed S/N. This one has obviously never seen any jungle use and remains in supreme condition, showing 98% or better original finishes with a beautiful wood grain pattern. It is unaltered in any way with all correct dimensions and components. The barrel channel is clean with no routing, bedding, cracks or any other issues. It has a 24" barrel with an excellent bore. Flawless mechanical functions. A truly great addition to any collection! Most collectors will never see a rifle like this offered for sale, and if they do it won't be as good, so don't miss out.
