Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 243 in Featherweight, 22” barrel with Bausch and Lomb scope with Kuharsky mount. I date this rifle at 1961 S/N: 514069. A recoil pad has been installed, and it appears it was installed around the time the rifle was originally purchased but remains semi malleable. The LOP to end of recoil pad is around 13.10”. The overall condition of the rifle is very good, and I see no evidence of refinishing to the stock or bluing. The wood stock has a few compression marks, and the bluing remains almost completely intact. I looked down bore with light, and it is shiny and clean with all rifling intact. Mechanically the bolt and floor plate release function as they should. This rifle is from my personal collection, and I’ve owned it for around 8 years. As I’ve stated in my other item descriptions I’m clearing out some of my items to make way for my differing taste in firearms, so I’m pricing this very good condition pre-64 model 70 to move.
