Description: Here's a customized Pre 64 Winchester Model 70 .264 Win. Mag Fwt. Built from all factory original components. S/N 390*** with matching scribed bolt from 1956. The factory barrel is 22". There is a perfectly fitted, contrasting fore-end tip that has been added along with a factory steel butt plate. The bottom metal remains factory aluminum. Condition is excellent at 98% Blue and Varnish. There is an inconspicuous crack in the tang area immediately behind the receiver which has been invisibly repaired from the inside with a perpendicular threaded steel pin and acraglass epoxy. Bore and mechanics are perfect. This is a VERY sharp rifle that should make someone an outstanding and flat shooting Western carry gun. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
