Pre 64 Winchester Model 70 30-06
Description: A stunning example in the most popular caliber, but has been GLASS BEDDED and I can not get it apart! S/N 300066 with matching bolt made 1954. 30-06 Caliber. The original Bluing is as nice as you will ever see on a Model 70 at 99% plus. Even the buttplate looks virtually new with only a minor rub at heel. The wood is not far behind at about 97% with a few scattered impressions. 24" barrel with minty bore, and fortunately all mechanical functions are still operating smoothly and properly. The front sight has been upgraded to a Marbles sheared gold bead type, and the original swivels replaced with quick release studs. The minty Leupold bases and rings are included. I did not remove them due to a bit of locktite visible around them, but did confirm that there are no extra holes underneath. Bubba got to this one before I did, but it is still a very fine rifle at a discounted price. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
