Pre War Transition Winchester Model 70 270 Nice Original
Description: Very sharp and all original rifle in the slow to find .270 caliber. S/N 55*** with matching scribed bolt assembled in 1946 from all pre war components. Rust blued barrel, Pre war receiver, etc. 96% Blue with just a few minor marks and very nice bottom metal. 95% Varnish with light handling throughout with one slightly deeper ding near comb. The wood has a nice bit of figure not frequently seen on these early standard grades. A good solid gun with minty bore and mechanics that presents well in hand. Extra clean inside. It is solid and great fitting in all regards, never monkeyed with and no extra drill holes. One to be proud of for sure, but can still be taken out and enjoyed as it was intended to be!
