Description: Fantastic Pre War Winchester Model 70 in very scarce 22 Hornet caliber. Four digit S/N 8*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1937. Outstanding condition throughout, especially for an 84 y.o. rifle showing 97-98% Blue and Varnish! Bore and mechanics are great. Undrilled rear receiver bridge. 24" Barrel, fine line checkering, factory installed, full base Lyman 48 WJS receiver sight with matching component #s. I have personally verified that the chamber has not been reamed out to K Hornet nor any other caliber.
