Rare investment grade PRE WAR Model 70 in 220 Swift caliber.
S/N 5376 with matching scribed bolt made in 1937.
All of the unique, early features that make these rifles so special are present including: Beautiful tight grained walnut with flawless fine line checkering, "fat" bolt release plunger, rare square faced floorplate release, 26" rust blued carbon steel barrel (most Swifts had stainless steel barrels) etc.
Amazing condition throughout showing 98% original Blue, 98% original wood finish.
Minty bore and mechanical functions, and the inspected inner components and barrel channel look like new.
Correctly UNDRILLED rear receiver bridge.
Correct factory issued sights and swivels. The rear sight is an early thimble knobbed Lyman 48 WJS with all matching component #s. Proper Lyman 12S filler in barrel dovetail slot. Swivels have 1 1/4" hoops.
