Pre War Winchester Model 70 Carbine 250-3000 Savage, 4 digit S/N! RARE!
Description:
***Sold, shipped*** Nearly impossible to find, let alone with a 4 digit S/N, here is an awesome undrilled and 100% legit PRE WAR CARBINE in ultra rare 250-3000 Savage caliber! S/N 9663 with matching bolt made in 1937.
Very nice condition showing 97% over most, but with some spotty surface oxidation on the barrel. There is no significant rust or pitting and the bore is fine. 20" carbine barrel with perfect integral ramp.
The rifle wears an old but surprisingly clear Weaver 330 scope with narrow triangle post reticle made in El Paso, TX which is held by a period STITH mount. NO extra holes needed to be drilled for this set up and the rear receiver bridge remains UNDRILLED. Mechanical functions are flawless and smooth as usual. Get this one for "cheap" and have an EXPERT re rust blue the barrel for a few hundred bucks if you want to, but I'll leave that up to the buyer's discretion.
Please add $100 for expedited and fully insured shipping from Alaska to your FFL.
