Description:
This rifle was manufactured in 1948, and is in good shape with honest wear showing throughout. It was, and is, a tool used by owners for hunting, range shooting, and home defense. An oddity of the rifle is the 'damage' on the caliber designation. There were a few Model 70s that were stamped with a damaged die, and this is one of those. .30-06

Metal Condition: "Good. There are a couple of small, partially repaired spots of rust on the barrel. The blue on the floor plate, trigger guard, and bolt handle has faded significantly.
Wood Condition: Good. There are no special marks but general wear. The checkering is flattened a bit from handling.
Bore Condition: "A bit dark but shiny, rifling is good.
