Description:
This pre-64 Model 70 traces its lineage to 1945 when it was manufactured. The barrel is correctly marked, but the rifle is a bit of an oddity because the .264 Win. Mag. was released in 1959. This rifle is most probably rebarreled for that reason. It is in great condition, with good wood, good metal, and shiny bore. The .264 WM chambering is one of those cartridges that was overshadowed by others, in this case the 7mm Rem Mag which was released in '62. Both cartridges have deer ranges out to 500 yards and more, if the shooter can shoot that far. .264 Winchester Magnum
