This is a nice older Winchester Model 70 Ranger in .270 Winchester. As can be seen, it has the unusual aftermarket thumbhole stock, that is in good condition but has a rough appearence even though it is smooth to the touch. The buled receiver and barrel are in very good condition with very minor pitting o the barrel. The blued 24" barrel has a flash suppressor built into the barrel. The barrel appears to be aftermarket or have been modified. The rifled bore is however, in excellent condition with sharp rifling. The factory trigger is Winchester firm and crisp. The wood stock definately makes this Winchester have an interesting appeal and is a conversation piece. No box or accessories.
