WINCHESTER – Model 70 Super Grade, .257 Roberts, 24” barrel length, bolt action rifle, deluxe figured walnut stock with wrap around checkering and raised cheekpiece, ebony tipped forend, Winchester metal grip cap, factory butt plate, factory deluxe detachable sling swivels, 1948 manufacture transition period gun, metal work is in 98% condition with only wear on bolt knob, wood is in 95% condition with only very light handling marks, factory hand lapped barrel, extremely rare and excellent example of a Super Grade Model 70 Winchester obtained from the Carmichel collection, a very rare and desirable collector grade gun. 13 1/2” LOP 8lbs., 4 oz.
