Winchester M70 Pre 64 300 H&H Magnum

Description:
This Winchester M70 is a .300 H&H Magnum, 26 inch barrel w/White Dot adj Flip Rear Sight.
(& a Hooded front Sight).
It comes w/a choice of  an Appolo 4x32(Wide)  or an FX 3-12x44. The gun bluing is abt 97-
98% of the Drop Plate, Trigger Guard, Bolt & Butt Plate. The receiver is abt 90-95% w/some light barrel
markings. The Butt Stock is w/o any indentations, scratches or markings- Very Nice.
The action is normal w/a very firm fitting bolt. The rifling is excellent w/a very bright & shiney
bore (See Pic). This Win m70 wasacquired from a Winchester M70 collector's estate. (It appears to
me to have been possibly an earlier restoration.)
For those who have experienced using this caliber when compared to a say a "30-06", It can be
best surmirzed by Ben Confort who won the 1000 yd Wimbledon Cup w/this his 300 H&H Custom
built by Griffin & Howe (Pg 295 of the Speer Reloading Manual #12). It established a reputation for
flat-shooting power & accuracy -(See more abt this in the Speer Reloading Manual.)
I would rate this an an "NRA - Very Good to Excellent". (Ifyou wanr more pics just ask)
