Winchester Model 70 Pre 64 in 270, made in 1952

This has to be the best Pre 64 Mod 70 that I have ever seen. It is in almost pristine condition and has only had 20 rounds fired through it in its entire life. The first owner bought 2 boxes of shells when he bought this Mod 70. He fire 6 rounds through it and put it away. When the second owner inherited the rifle he fired the remaining rounds out of the first box of ammo, the second box of ammo has never been opened.

As you will see from the photo's there is very little wear on the bluing or stock finish. There are a few very minor handling marks on the stock finish, this rifle is a real safe queen. As everyone knows the Pre 64 Model 70's have been in demand for a long time. Now is you chance to own a true piece of American gunning history, in a great all around caliber, the venerable Winchester 270.

The only minor flaw that this rifle has is the original plug srews for the scope mount screw locations are missing. Evidently the original owner mounted a scope on this rifle and then removed it but did not replace the plug screws. Other than that this rifle is 100% original with a fantastic bore and the flawless action the model 70 is known for.
