WINCHESTER – Model 70 Super Grade, .250-3000 Savage, 24” barrel length, bolt action rifle, deluxe figured walnut stock with wrap around checkering and raised cheekpiece, ebony tipped forend, Winchester grip cap, factory butt plate, factory deluxe detachable sling swivels, special factory mounted rare adjustable Lyman 48WH peep sight which wraps around the stock, 1947 manufacture transition period gun, metal work is in 100% condition, wood is in 98% condition with only a very small chip missing from the toe which occurred during a dangerous game hunt by Carmichel, which could be very easily repaired, factory hand lapped barrel, extremely rare and excellent example of a Super Grade Model 70 Winchester obtained from the Carmichel collection, and would be a worthwhile addition to any serious collector.
