Winchester Pre-64 Model 70 30-06 with Griffin & Howe Side Mount

Description:
This model 70 was made in 1949 and is about as close to mint as one can hope to find. Perfect bore and virtually all the original blue and original finish still present. Serial number scribed into the bolt. It has a Griffin & Howe installed side mount and a gloss Leupold Vari X 111 1.5 x 5 scope. The optics are crystal clear. This gun came to me from an old family collection in the northeast. The gentleman I got it from told me his father ordered it new and commissioned GH to install the mount.  He had other rifles with GH mounts and none of them had  the aperture part of their peeps. It is presumed he had them all put away somewhere together but the family could not find them. The wood is a pretty honey color. The whole set up is quite nice! $75 shipping
