Winchester Pre 64 Low Comb Featherweight rifle, .308, #283xxx, manufactured 1954. The barrel and receiver of this hard to find rifle retain nearly 98% of the original factory blue. There is some function wear on the action and bolt knob and the floor plate shows thinnng blue with some silvering on the hinge. There is silvering around the upper butt plate screw and on the screw head. The wood remains in excellent condition retaining 98% varnish and displaying a very few minor handling marks. The rifle is sighted with the standard front bead and a Lyman 57 WJS peep sight also in 98% condition. There is no cut out or disturbance in the wood beneath the peep. Bore and mechanics are excellent, Shipping $30 or $60 with insurance.

A super classic rifle and one you will have to discipline yourself to take your eyes off to look for your deer.
