Serial #10042, .308 Win, 22 inch barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is the Winchester Model 88 lever action rifle built in 1955 which was the first year of production. The barrel, frame and action retain about 90-95% of the original blue with some freckling along the barrel. The checkered walnut stock is solid with some light use marks and spots of finish loss near the action and along the butt. It is sighted with the standard flip up rear and bead front sights along with a Lyman All American 2 ½ scope with clear optics. It comes with one original non-caliber marked 4 round magazine and sling swivels. The action functions properly with a tight lock up. A great first year gun. FFL or C&R
