This rifle is in really good shape overall. The finish on the receiver has some small marks and bubbles from age. The left side of the receiver is marked 1869-1969 with a railroad spike between. Right side of the receiver has some nice engraving. The barrel is marked \"GOLDEN SPIKE COMMEMORATIVE\". Tang of the receiver is marked \"Oceans United By Rail\". The stock has a coin pressed into it commemorating the railroads meeting in 1869. The gun appears unfired but I have no way to be sure. Other than the finish on the receiver the firearm is in almost perfect shape.
