22 short and long. The model 1900 was a small light handy 22 single shot. Thus giving it the name of Boys Rifle. The really great thing on this rifle is the stock which is way above average for these small 22's. No major cracks or losses. These had the tendency to break a chunk off towards the back by the bolt channel but not this one! Wood is in very nice shape with just the usual handling marks. Sound piece of wood. The wood is very dark and it appears like someone kept oil on the stock throughout it's life. Metal has aged to a grey/brown color. Sights have been changed. Bore is rough. A very good eye appealing early Winchester 22.
