Description:
The Winchester 1903 was designed By T.C. Johnson and was he first commercial semi automatic rifle developed by Winchester. Though originally chambered in .22 Winchester Auto, it was later updated to fire the popular .22 Long rifle and renamed the Model 63. This example made in 1905 is in fair to good overall condition. the metal parts have mostly faded to a brown patina with light bloom, though some areas of the barrel still bear the original bluing. The stocks likewise have lost much of their original finish and the butstock in particular is forming a crack in the top of the wrist. The safety has also corroded in place and is stuck in the fire position. The most notable feature of this rifle is the bore, it is exceptionally clean when compared to the outside of the rifle, meaning that it is a prime candidate for full conservation as once it is fully stripped and cleaned it will easily be returned into a dine shooting rifle.
